How subtitles are timed — and how to fix a line
Your script is aligned to your voice on our servers; nothing is sent to outside AI services.
Paste the written script of the recording. KolReel listens to the audio with local speech recognition and matches each word of your script to the moment you said it — so the subtitles show exactly what you wrote, timed to your voice. Punctuation and paragraph breaks decide where lines split.
Fixing a line: open the video page, scroll to Subtitles. Play the video; the current line is highlighted. Edit the text, adjust start/end (minutes:seconds), split a long line, merge two short ones, or shift everything by a few tenths of a second. Press Save subtitles, then Render again.
Changing the script: if you edit the script text in the side panel, the timing is recalculated on the next render.
No subtitles: untick Burn subtitles into the video or leave the script empty.
