About KolReel

It started with one weekly video

KolReel was built at WebNetCom, a small IT company in Zefat, Israel, for a client who publishes a short video every week. The recording took ten minutes. Everything after it took the rest of the day: typing the subtitles, timing them by hand, adding the title card and the closing card, exporting, uploading to YouTube, posting to Facebook, sending the link to a WhatsApp group. Every week, the same hours, for a video that was already finished the moment the recording stopped.

We wrote a tool that did the boring part: take the recording and the script, time the words to the voice, put the subtitles on a clean background with the intro and outro the client liked, and hand back a video ready to post. The first version ran from a terminal. The client stopped dreading Thursdays. Other people asked for it, and that tool became KolReel.

What it does

You upload a recording (or let a narrator read your script), paste the script, pick a template, and KolReel renders a subtitled video in the 16:9 and vertical formats, with your intro, outro, backgrounds and logo. From there it publishes where your audience is: YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, WhatsApp, Google Drive, Dropbox, OneDrive or your own server, with a share page for everything else. Templates keep every episode consistent, so week two looks like week one without redoing anything.

What we believe

Your videos are yours. We never claim rights over what you make, we do not train anything on it, and you can download, delete or move your content at any time.

No surprises with your data. Recordings are transcribed and timed on our own servers. Nothing goes to a third party unless you choose a feature that needs one, such as an AI voice or publishing to a platform, and the privacy policy says exactly what goes where.

Built for people who are not editors. If you can record a voice note and type a paragraph, you can publish a finished video. That is the whole idea.

Hebrew and English, first class. Right-to-left subtitles, Hebrew voices and Hebrew interface were there from the first day, not added later.
