Publish your video as a podcast episode on Buzzsprout

Connect Buzzsprout once, then send any finished video as an episode: now, scheduled, or private. Creator and Studio plans.

Connect once. In Buzzsprout open My Account, API Access (buzzsprout.com/my/profile/api) and copy the API token. In KolReel open Connections, the Buzzsprout tab, paste the token and press Connect Buzzsprout. KolReel checks the token with Buzzsprout and lists your podcasts; with more than one, choose where new episodes go. The token is stored encrypted and is only used to create episodes.

Publish an episode. On a finished video press Publish to Buzzsprout in the Share card:

  • Title and show notes start from the video title and your script, with the link to the video's share page at the end. Paragraphs and links are kept.
  • Episode and season: after the first episode the next number is filled in for you.
  • Audio: the video's full soundtrack (with the intro and outro music) or only your recording. It is converted to a podcast MP3 at an even loudness of -16 LUFS, the level Apple Podcasts and Spotify recommend.
  • When: publish now, keep it as a private episode, or schedule a day and time in your own time zone. Buzzsprout releases a scheduled episode by itself, even when KolReel is closed.
  • Artwork (optional): a square JPG or PNG, 1400 to 3000 pixels. Without it Buzzsprout uses the podcast artwork.

Press Send to Buzzsprout. A few minutes later the episode is on Buzzsprout and Buzzsprout emails you when the audio is processed. You can still edit everything there.

Scheduling YouTube too. In the YouTube upload window choose Schedule and a time: the video uploads now as private and YouTube makes it public at that time.
