Copyright, music and spam: what you need to know

Use only material you may use, what YouTube may do, and what happens after a copyright or spam report.

Video coming soon

Before you create a video you confirm that you made, or may use, everything in it: the recording, the script, images, clips and music.

  • The free library, Pixabay and the music search come with licences for use in videos. Some Creative Commons tracks ask for a credit line, and the music search shows when they do.
  • YouTube, Facebook, Instagram and TikTok check uploads against rights holders' files and may mute, block or claim a video under their own policies. KolReel cannot remove those claims. Uploading to YouTube as Private first lets the copyright check finish before anyone sees it.
  • If a rights holder reports a video to us, we may disable its share page and embeds, remove the file and lock the account for review, and we email you how to respond. Repeat infringement closes the account.
  • Spam or abuse reports about links you shared can lead to disabled links, limited publishing or a locked account.

To check an image you did not make, try a reverse image search (Google Lens or TinEye). The full policy is on the Content and copyright page (link at the bottom of every page).
