Accessibility statement

We want everyone to be able to make and watch videos with KolReel, including people with disabilities. This page explains what we have done, what still has gaps, and how to reach us.

The standard we follow

We work to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at level AA, which is also the basis of Israeli Standard 5568 and the Equal Rights for Persons with Disabilities (Service Accessibility Adjustments) Regulations, 2013. We check new pages against it as we build them.

What is in place

• Accessibility menu: the round button with the person icon at the bottom corner of every page lets you enlarge text (up to 150%), switch to high contrast, highlight links, use a plain readable font, widen line and letter spacing, and stop animations. Your choices are remembered in this browser.
• Keyboard: every action can be reached with the keyboard. A "Skip to main content" link appears on the first Tab press, focus is always clearly outlined, and Escape closes menus and popups.
• Screen readers: pages have a main area, named navigation areas and headings in order. Buttons that show only an icon have a spoken name, menus announce when they open, and the current page is marked in the menu.
• Languages and direction: the interface is available in 12 languages, and Hebrew, Arabic and Yiddish pages are laid out right to left.
• Motion: if your device asks for reduced motion, animations are turned off automatically.
• Your videos: every video KolReel makes has subtitles burned in, so the spoken words can be read. Your script and subtitles can also be downloaded as text.

Known limitations

• Videos and images that members upload themselves, and pages of third-party services we link to (payment, sign-in with Google or Facebook, social networks), are outside our control and may not meet the standard.
• Some older admin and settings screens may still have smaller gaps. We fix them as we find them, and we give priority to anything you report.
